The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions into the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency claimed it's alarmed concerning the substantial quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some substantial range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The service level developed for intervention encounters a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it tough for your office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more means to empower the servicing of all shoppers and enhance SRD entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
